NEW BEGINNINGS EQUINE RETREAT
This is a very special equine retreat because in addition to equine therapy, you also have the opportunity to hold baby lambs.
The babies represent new beginnings in so many ways and what a great way for you to embrace your new beginnings.
Spring and summer time have a way of bringing out a new birth of energy and vibrancy. Whether you have already tapped into this for yourself, or not, this retreat will reawaken your soul.
Held at a private therapy farm in Woodstock, IL, working with horses, sheep and baby lambs and 3 professional equine leaders, will birth and strengthen your new beginnings, new perspectives and new possibilities.
With that movement towards your calling, be it perhaps a quiet almost imperceptible call, take a step. Your are not alone on this journey, you are connected to something greater than yourself and joined every moment with others starting afresh and anew.
You will find that you have exactly what you need for whatever you are facing. Each step you take is the right step, as you all ready know deep within your bones. It is standing still and playing it safe that will silence your beautiful and important song. Be brave and take your next step.
Horses help humans by bringing up unconscious, unresolved issues to the forefront of our minds. This unique experience will help you recognize some of the next steps you can take to move forward and through guided activities like meditation with sheep, equine connection and coaching.
You will be guided by Kim Jozwiak, Mental Health Counselor, Jean Pflanz, Equine Specialist and Katherine Jansen, Life Coach.
“Maybe the yes comes before the readiness. Maybe you say yes and then you become equipped to handle whatever is about to happen.”
— Glennon Doyle
Animals have wisdom and can heal emotional wounds.
Horses help humans by bringing up unconscious, unresolved issues to the forefront of our minds. Loss due to the loss of a loved one, end of a friendship, divorce, becoming an Empty Nester or any other major change in life can have a lasting effect but can be processed with love and healing.
This unique experience will help you recognize some of the next steps you can take to move forward and through guided activities like meditation with sheep, equine connection and coaching, you will gain new hope and insights about yourself.
Equine leaders are Kim Jozwiak, LCPC, Jean Pflanz, EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) Equine Specialist Certification and Katherine Jansen, Life Coach.
You have close contact and work directly with horses, sheep and other farm animals.
Located at a private therapy horse farm in Woodstock, IL.
Kim Jozwiak, Mental Health Counselor
Kim leads people to become more connected to their unique and authentic selves through person-centered collaboration that assists in the discovery of inner strength and resources.
Kim is certified in EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) to assist individuals in building up their own inner resources to resolve trauma related symptoms like anxiety, depression, dissociation and flashbacks.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Kim continues to research and practice evidence-based trauma treatments and interventions which include mindfulness training, cognitive restructuring and equine assisted psychotherapy (EAP).
EAP utilizes the power of horses in externalizing emotional and psychological pain in a dynamic way that creates meaning and strengthens internal resiliency. Kim has been a long time student of the Enneagram and am very excited about sharing this wisdom with others.
